Project Area: Lake Saltonstall to Interchange 54
Project Scope: Contract D, is located in Branford, and consists of the reconstruction of approximately 3350 meters (2.1 miles) of I-95 from the western project limit, the eastern shore of the Lake Saltonstall Bridge, to the eastern project limit, Interchange 54 (Cedar Street). A third travel lane was added in each direction. The Todds Hill Road Bridge over I-95 was replaced and the Cherry Hill Road Bridge over I-95 was rehabilitated. The I-95 bridge over the Exit 53 southbound on-ramp (Branford Connector) was widened. Noise barrier walls were constructed along I-95 at Exit 54 and Todds Hill and Cherry Hill Roads. The Exit 54 (Cedar Street) commuter parking lot was relocated to Exit 55 (Route 1), due to the widening of Cedar Street to accommodate turning lanes. Both service areas on I-95 in Branford were resurfaced and the ramps reconfigured. Full shoulders, a new median barrier, drainage, signing, and lighting were provided throughout the project.

Project Name, Contract Number: Contract D1 - State Project No. 43-125
Project Area: I-95 South Bound
Project Scope: Contract D1, located in Brandford and East Haven, consisted of final milling, paving and stiping of I-95 SB. Also included was the resetting of catch bains and guide rail as well as milling, joint replacement and repaving of Bridge No. 00189 (I-95 over Lake Saltonstall). Miscellaneous work included the installation of Right-of-Way fencing and wetland mitigation plantings in Branford as well as installation of a noise barrier wall inthe vicinity of the Farm River in East Haven.
