| Project Scope: |
Contract B is located in New Haven and consists of the replacement of the existing Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge (a.k.a. Q-Bridge) with a new extradosed 10 lane signature bridge. The project encompasses approximately 1,300 meters (0.8 miles) of I-95 from the western project limit at the abutment at East Street and Hamilton Street to the eastern project limit at the Stiles Street abutment. Five travel lanes will be provided in each direction from the bridges west approach to a reconfigured/combined Woodward Avenue/Stiles Street interchange at the east approach. The new Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge will be extended to include the Stiles Street overpass. Full shoulders, a new median barrier, drainage, signing, and lighting will be provided throughout the project. |
